And whatever strategy is formed, it will have blessing of IV and participating member. Please reply for this post. Be serious. I am not joking.
Not only you I need around 100 peoples one weeks time. So other people serious about getting GC, if you are willing to part away your valuable one week time that would be great.
I would like to stress, I am not dying because of GC. But I think we need to do something to get GC. Otherwise, we will be in QUE, a lonnnngggg QUE.

Another basic information. I-140 needs to be approved on its own merit. Once it is approved, the dates would be ported. There's no such extra-scrutiny added related to "porting" exercise as such.

Guys,
I am in the process of applying for EAD renewal. I have few questions:
On the I-765 form,
Q.11 if applied for EAD before , complete below.
But there is nothing below other than your signature and date. It does not ask you of previous EAD information. What does "complete below" means?

Aug 12 9PM - Email -> Card production ordered.
Aug 15 - Email -> Approval notice sent (for ME)
Aug 18 - Email -> Approval notice sent for Spouse
Aug 18 - Received I-797C Approval Notice for both me and spouse by USPS. In fact i received 3 original copies of the same approval for me and only 1 for my spouse.
Still waiting for the actual cards to come.

I did not know that FedEx/UPS could deliver to PO boxes and that you would have a person receiving and signing for it???

If someone ports from eb3 to eb2 they should get the priority date of the day they were eligible to file an eb2 and not be able to carry the date from eb3.
Porting makes sense in a family based visa where your petitioner can file for an application while he is still a green card holder and then becomes a citizen which upgrades the beneficiary's category as well.
On an employment visa you file for an eb3 when you are eligible for an eb3 job, you file for an eb2 when you are eligible for an eb2 job. Why would you be able to jump ahead in the eb2 line when you were clearly did not have an eb2 job ? Just because you filed an application at some point of time in eb3 and waited a decade to get a better job doesn't mean someone else has to pay for your (pick one - laziness, ineptitude, lack of skill or lack of knowledge).
Most of IV Core is made of eb3 applicants and therefore there has never been any push from the core on this matter. And as someone said .. You ARE eating my lunch..
That's the way the rule is set and it doesn't matter if it makes 100% sense or not. Just like not all EB3 folks are happy with change in spillover, all in EB2 may not be happy with the way Porting rule is set up. I think people are confused and think that pay stubs can be substituted for Employment letter. I don't see how that will be accepted. The 485 application ( See on page 4 1st para ) clearly states that they need a letter from employer stating that the job for which GC has been filed is still available and the salary will be paid as per the LC and 140. This is NOT current employment verification letter. Period. Its about future job. The job titles of H1B (current job) and GC (future job) can be different. Get out of the H1B transfer and extension mode.
If the letter from employer is part of initial evidence and you don't have it, your application might come back as per the memo release on Jun 16th.
